Brief history
of Advanced Smoke Group Limited.

David Royle founded his fabrication company Euroduct Limited in 1991, specialising in high spec ductwork, including Durasteel as a licensee from Promat. His first major contract came in 1993, providing conveyor housings at Heathrow International Airport.

As a specialist in constructing and installing fire rated ductwork, it was inevitable that this lead to an involvement in the installation of smoke control systems. Eventually, in 2001 specialists in the design of smoke control systems  joined the company and Advanced Smoke Technology was born. This began a rapid growth in the company fortunes and by 2003 the company also began installing car park jet fan ventilation systems.

With the need for increased production capacity with a greater range of fabrication work being undertaken by the company, including, roof vents, dampers, custom built attenuation and even blast proof special enclosures, the company moved to their current premises in Oadby near Leicester in 2004.

In 2008, the company added a further discipline to their portfolio taking on personnel to handle the increased workload of the car park ventilation business, employing specialists in the design field as well.

By 2009, it was decided to bring together all elements of the business, manufacturing, research and development, smoke control and car park ventilation under one umbrella and renamed the company Advanced Smoke Group Limited.
